Meet the Founder

Marlene Hillyer, RDN, CSP, CD, CLT

Hazelnut was founded by a Registered Dietitian who knows exactly what it takes to scale a practice in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been in the trenches and I know that the "back office" is where most talented clinicians get stuck.

Beyond Hazelnut, I lead the Insurance Credentialing and Billing for Dietitian Nutritionists Facebook group — a community of 7000 providers seeking clarity in a complex industry.

Simply put: I geek out on the details that most RDs find exhausting. I’m hyper-focused on revenue cycle management and ensuring no claim goes unpaid, so our partners can stop worrying about the paperwork and start focusing on patient care.
